The Client:
The client is a 25 year man who suffered a brain stem injury as a result of a RTA. He lives with his Mum and Dad in an adapted extension for him to live in. The client enjoys going outside for a walk with his dog and getting some fresh air. He also like sleeping and having showers; as well as relaxing in the hot tub. He is a laid-back and easy-going person and has a great sense of humour. He enjoys hearing people telling funny stories about everyday life, listening to music and watching TV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full support with personal care, washing, dressing etc.
- Assistance with food preparation
- Passive exercise
- Socialising
- Moving & handling
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous care experience
- Because of the nature of the role, applicants must have a full UK driver’s license with access to their own transport
- Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations
- A great sense of fun and humour, we value developing warm positive relationships with everyone we support
- SVQ Level 2/3 Desirable
Available Shifts:
2 x Staff Required. Full time and part time hours available with shift times:
08:00-20:00 / 0900-13:00 / 18:00-20:00 / 20:00-08:00
Potential for work with other clients.
At Homecare we provide on-site training for the skills you’ll need to look after our client, and take care of your SVQ, SSSC, and PVG requirements to give you the confidence you need to provide the best care possible.
