We are currently looking for motivated and quality driven Permanent Complex Care Support Workers / Caregivers in AB15 8GU or AB12 3EZ to join our growing Homecare Scotland family.
A UK drivers license & access to your own vehicle is essential.
Our Clients
Youwill be working with one of two of our clients.
- Our client is a 17 year old female with learning disabilities, limited verbal communication, epilepsy and is a wheelchair user. The Caregiver must have peg feeding/ meds, and stoma care experience. This role is for both personal care and social. Two full time and one part time carers are required to cover night shift. To be eligible for this role, you must have experience with Peg Feeding, Tracheostomy, Epilepsy and CPAP Machines.
- Our client is a 17 year old male with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities. Our client is able bodied - this role is for social support, taking him out and requires two staff to attend on each visit. The shifts are 9.30am - 2.30pm, Monday - Saturday. To be eligible for this role, you must have experience in Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care; washing, dressing, food preparation, shopping, hospital visits, activities, moving and handling, medication administration and more.
- Identifying needs and assisting with these.
- Improve the service user's quality of life, and promote independence.
Requirements/Skills:
- Complex care experience required.
- The Caregiver must have peg feeding/ meds, and stoma care experience - depending on client.
- The Caregiver must have experience with challenging behaviours and working with clients with learning disabilities - depending on client.
- Warm, friendly, and motivated individual.
- Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations.
- Fantastic communication skills.
- Commitment to providing the highest quality care.
- A UK driver's license and access to a car is essential.
