The Client:
A young girl living with Autism and Learning Disabilities who requires care in her own home. She lives with her family in her own home and requires 2:1 care at all times. She attends school and needs support during her at home hours during the term and 24/7 during the school holidays. Tasks include getting her ready for school, assisting with personal care, dealing with challenging behaviour, managing and prepping food, planning outings and assisting with daily activities of living.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support with social activities, outings and interests
· Managing challenging behaviour
· Assistance with all aspects of personal care on a 2:1 basis
· Experience of Learning disabilities
· Experience of breakaway training
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Extensive previous care experience
· Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations
· A great sense of fun and humour, we value developing warm positive relationships with everyone we support
· Adaptive communication and ability to understand alternative methods of communication
Required Shift Cover:
Day shifts – 07.30-08.30//15.00-20.30
Weekday Night shifts – 20.30-08.30
Weekends & School Holidays – 08.30//20.30-08.30
365 days a year support, 7 days a week
Benefits:
· Hourly rate £13.50 during the weekdays and £14.50 during the weekends
· Permanent full-time employment contracts available (including 28 days annual leave & a company pension! These benefits are pro-rata for part-time contracts)
· PVG fees paid by the company
· Training and ongoing support provided
