We are currently looking for motivated and quality driven person to join our growing Homecare Scotland family.

Our Clients

-           A young woman living with Spina Bifida in South East Glasgow. She lives with her family in a fully adapted home including hoists. She is a wheelchair and has her own transport which she uses on a daily basis for her active social life. She enjoying social outings, shopping, concerts, the gym and attending her part time job.

 

-           A young man living with a spinal injury. He is very active and likes to go to gym and out socialising. Remains as independent as possible due to good upper body strength, requires assistance with personal care and maintaining hobbies.. He lots of family visitors and lives in an fully adapted apartment.

 

-           A young man living with cerebral palsy in his fully adapted family home who needs support to promote quality of life, health and independence. His home has been adapted to facilitate his mobility, safe delivery of personal care and to allow his inclusion in all family social activities. He has a very supportive family, loves animals and has 2 dogs,enjoys music, live concerts and regular social outings. He is a sensitive young man with personal gifts and strengths, quirky with a great sense of humour and loves to laugh with his family and friends.

 

-           A teenage girl who is living with autism and learning disabilities in the family home. She attends school, and needs carers when not in the school environment. She can exhibit challenging behaviours so experience in this field would be preferred. She enjoys walking, going for ice-cream, visiting the local library and trampoline park

Main Responsibilities:

  • · Support with social activities, outings and interests
  • · Assistance with all aspects of personal care
  • · Administration of medications
  • · Moving & Handling
  • · Passive Exercise

Requirements/Skills:

  • Complex care experience required.
  • The Caregiver must have peg feeding/ meds, and stoma care experience - depending on client.
  • The Caregiver must have experience with challenging behaviours and working with clients with learning disabilities - depending on client.
  • Warm, friendly, and motivated individual.
  • Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality care.
  • A UK driver's license and access to a car is essential.

Benefits:

  • £12 - £13.50 per hour / or salary
